About The Position

Atmosphere Commercial Interiors is seeking an Interior Designer to develop creative interior space solutions tailored to client needs and business goals. This role involves translating design trends, research, and insights into meaningful product application solutions. The Interior Designer will consult and collaborate with clients to create engaging and inspiring spaces, working across various market segments including corporate, education, hospitality, and government. Projects will range in size and scope, from small office layouts to large, complex reconfigurations. Requirements

  • 4-year Interior Design or Interior Architecture degree or balance of Associate Degree and applicable experience
  • 5+ years Interior Design Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of design trends and code requirements
  • Proficiency in Revit

Nice To Haves

  • NCIDQ or State certification
  • 3+ years of Furniture dealership industry experience
  • CET Designer Software experience
  • Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC)

Responsibilities

  • Assist or act as lead Designer on assigned projects.
  • Serve as a client liaison.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and clients to gather project information and develop creative and functional design solutions that meet the client’s requirements, aesthetic and budget.
  • Design/space plan and specify creative solutions to proactively impact the sales process.
  • Take abstract information and apply Steelcase insights/learnings in a way that yields creative/thoughtful applications.
  • Act as a trusted healthcare design advisor to sales consultants and clients, using in-depth knowledge of design trends, product, applications, and code requirements.
  • Foster client relationships through design knowledge, continual support, and flawless execution.
  • Participate in a team selling approach.
  • Present design concepts virtually or in person.
  • Provide continual support to clients for moves, additions, and changes to their existing workplace.
  • Create computer-generated design documents including design intent drawings, space plans, furniture typicals, furniture plans, installation documents, and rendered images to communicate and document design solutions, ensuring efficient and accurate installation results.
  • Develop validation packages as needed.
  • Perform field measures, product inventory, and product research.
  • Produce furniture block plans, space plans, finish palettes, furniture specifications, and installation drawings.
  • Meet project deadlines and keep accurate records of working time for internal job costing.
  • Perform peer audits with other designers.
