Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Architecture or Interior Design plus four (4) of experience in Interior Design or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Sketch-up, and/or other 3D modeling and rendering software

  • Master’s degree in Interior Design
  • NCIDQ certification achieved or planned
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills fostering a positive work environment
  • Is collaborative and problem-solving, has a positive outlook, and is adaptable to new procedures, priorities, standards, technologies.
  • Comfortable utilizing and learning new skills with digital project tools, including AI

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline leaders
  • Under some supervision, may complete design assignments of moderate complexity. Analyzes issues and identifies solutions using existing techniques, and proposes approaches for novel issues. Exercises independent judgement in determining how work is performed
  • Involved in client-facing interactions including presentations, meetings, answering questions, following up on issues
  • Utilize familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline
  • Introduced to the process of preparing designs, presentations and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures
  • Utilize your intermediate understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents
  • Meet deadlines and work within budget constraints, with understanding of the range of materials and labor costs
  • Interact with the construction process – change orders, RFIs, quality review, etc.
  • Assemble FF&E packages
  • Adhere to quality control procedures and tactics
