The Design Consultant works closely with customers in the design center/studio, remotely, online, or in their homes to create individualized design solutions. This role involves selling Ethan Allen products and services, including space planning, fabric coordination, product selection, and overall project design. Success is measured by developing individualized designs and achieving sales goals in a flexible, relationship-based selling environment. Some projects may require a team approach. Design Consultants are evaluated on performance categories such as teamwork, customer service, communication skills, decision-making, project development, presentation, and technical skills, as well as benchmarks like Minimum Monthly Sales, Home Calls, and Close Ratio. The role requires proficiency in social media to promote the Ethan Allen brand, adhering to the company's Social Media Policy. Compensation is incentive-based, determined by commissions earned, with an expectation to meet or exceed Minimum Monthly Sales and other benchmarks. This is a Full-Time position.
