About The Position

The Interior Design Intern works alongside experienced designers and project team members to support interior design efforts across commercial, higher education, liturgical, mixed-use, and healthcare projects. The role provides hands-on experience in an integrated design and construction environment and opportunities to develop technical skills using 3D modeling and visualization tools. The intern contributes to design concepts, project deliverables, visual communication, research, and collaborative project activities while learning how designers work with clients and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Interest in commercial interior design and the built environment.
• Strong visual, creative, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and collaborate with a project team.
• Interest in innovative design technologies and integrated project delivery.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with design software such as Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing interior design concepts, layouts, and presentations.
• Support the creation of design deliverables throughout various project phases.
• Help communicate design intent through drawings, renderings, and other visual materials.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, design charrettes, and team collaboration activities.
• Assist with 3D modeling and visualization using tools such as Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and construction team members.
• Research materials, finishes, furnishings, and design trends.
• Participate in project meetings and learn how designers work with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Contribute creative ideas and support the team in developing innovative design solutions.
