Interior Design Coordinator II
About The Position
Beck is looking for a qualified Interior Design Coordinator II to join our team. The candidate will be embedded in a project team performing interior design tasks with moderate supervision on a wide range of building types including commercial, higher ed, liturgical, mixed-use, and/or healthcare. Beck is one of the most advanced users of 3D modeling tools in the design process, so the candidate should be comfortable using Sketchup, Revit, Photoshop, and more. The job involves presenting design ideas and schemes to owners and project teams in a three-dimensional format, developing interior design deliverables, communicating design intent, participating in brainstorming sessions and design charrettes, building client relationships, mentoring less experienced staff, collaborating with preconstruction and construction teams, and representing Beck within the Interior Design Community.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant Interior Design experience
- College graduate with relevant degree
- Comfortable using Sketchup, Revit, Photoshop, and more
- Ability to conceptualize ideas and present them in a three-dimensional format using one of our many technology platforms
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Pursuit of Professional Registration preferred
- Interest in the integrated project delivery method
- Interest in being innovative in process improvement and technology
Responsibilities
- Present design ideas and schemes to owners and project team in a three-dimensional format
- Develop interior design deliverables, as part of a larger project team, though all aspects of a job
- Communicate design intent to the project team
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and internal competitions
- Participate in design charrettes and generate multiple comprehensive design ideas for clients and design team
- Build a relationship with a client and lead the client through difficult decisions
- Effectively mentor less experienced design staff
- Collaborate with our internal preconstruction and construction team members
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Represent Beck within the Interior Design Community
