About The Position

This position is for an interim Elementary English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher. The School District of Palm Beach County is a drug and alcohol-free workplace, and all employment categories are subject to drug testing. Applicants testing positive for drugs will not be hired. Some employment categories may also require a pre-employment medical examination and clearance. Non-instructional applicants for certain clerical positions will need to pass a Keyboarding Test, meeting a specified Words Per Minute (WPM) requirement. Finalists may be required to undergo background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, with further instructions provided upon an official job offer. Instructional applicants will need to submit specific documents upon being offered a teaching position, including Florida Educator's Certificate or Statement of Eligibility, and official transcripts from all degree-granting institutions. Foreign education credentials must be evaluated by an agency approved by the Florida Department of Education.

Requirements

Florida Educator’s Certificate
Statement of Eligibility (Letter from the Florida Department of Education)
Active/Valid Out-of-State Certification (if applicable)
Official transcripts from all colleges or universities from which you earned a degree.
Foreign education must be evaluated by an agency that is approved by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). A course by course evaluation is required for college-level education.
Educational credentials from institutions that are accredited by an accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
