About The Position

Palm Beach Day Academy is seeking an Interim Spanish Teacher for the Upper School (Grades 4-8) for approximately 3 months, tentatively from Mid-October through December of the 2026-27 school year. The role involves teaching Spanish classes ranging from Introduction to Spanish through Spanish I. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment and be passionate about teaching Spanish language and culture. Responsibilities include designing engaging lessons, classroom management, and participating in additional duties such as advising, monitoring students, faculty meetings, and professional development. The position requires utilizing diverse teaching tools and methods for differentiated learning.

Requirements

• Fluency level in Spanish
• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Teaching or a related field

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree Preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Spanish Teacher is preferred

Responsibilities

• Successfully design instruction, creating engaging lessons in Spanish grammar, conversation, reading, vocabulary and geography
• Be passionate about teaching and celebrating Spanish – language and culture
• Possess strong classroom management skills to create and maintain a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Participate in additional duties during the academic day including but not limited to advising and monitoring students to actively participating in faculty meetings and professional development
• Utilize a variety of teaching tools and methods to effectively differentiate learning
• Possess organizational skills
• Possess excellent written and verbal skills
• Possess the ability to collaborate professionally with colleagues and parents
