About The Position

Crittenton is seeking a qualified and experienced Interim Social Work Supervisor to provide leadership and operational support to the social work department during a temporary period of extended staff absence. This is a temporary, interim position created to provide leadership and operational coverage during a period of extended staff absence. The position is expected to remain in place for the duration of the temporary staffing need and is not intended to represent a permanent change to the department's organizational structure. The anticipated duration of the assignment is approximately six months; however, the actual duration may vary depending on organizational needs. Crittenton will provide appropriate notice regarding the conclusion of the interim assignment.

Requirements

  • Experience in a residential program, mental health program, group home or mobile crisis program.
  • Experience in training and supervising staff.
  • Must have clean driving record and valid driver license.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to be on-call on a rotating basis.
  • Must be CPR certified within 30 days of hire.

  • Master of Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work and at least three years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments using trauma-informed and motivational interviewing approaches.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while providing counseling, completing documentation, and attending meetings.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility to meet with residents and staff.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for writing, keyboarding, and use of electronic health record systems and office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with residents, families, staff, courts, and community partners.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and respond appropriately to client behavior, emotional states, and crisis situations.
  • Ability to drive agency or personal vehicles safely for court appearances, meetings, trainings, or client-related activities, in accordance with agency policies.
  • Ability to manage work demands that may include emotional intensity, crisis response, and flexible scheduling, including evenings and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises social work team which includes case assignment, establishing performance objectives and conducting regular supervision and performance reviews.
  • Participates in weekly Treatment Team clinical meetings to assist in development, implementation and revision of individual treatment plans; monitors progress toward treatment goals.
  • Coordinates and supervises interns in field placement.
  • Trauma focused treatment planning incorporating resident, family, and direct service staff input.
  • Trauma informed individual, group, and family counseling and Assessment using motivational interviewing skills.
  • Coordination of continuum of care for each resident.
  • Consultation with direct service staff regarding resident issues.
  • Participation in developing and implementing program needs including ARC program.
  • Complete paperwork responsibilities including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in the documentation committee that audits charts for quality assurance and improvement purposes.
  • Participate in the PQI Committee which reviews agency policies, paperwork, and general issues and develops ways to make things work more efficiently.
  • Lead social work responsibilities for all residential programs.
  • Provide support for foster care clients during court sessions.
  • Intervenes in problem behaviors by utilizing crisis intervention and redirection skills.
  • Participates in a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education activities annually
  • Attend meetings as appropriate and meet regularly with supervisor to exchange pertinent information and receive supervision
  • Maintains professional ethics as outlined in the NASW code of ethics.

  • Supervise, train, evaluate, and support social work staff, including providing coaching, feedback, and corrective guidance as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized trauma-focused treatment plans incorporating input from residents, families, and direct service staff.
  • Provide trauma-informed individual, group, and family counseling services to residents across residential, maternity, and foster care programs.
  • Coordinate and monitor each resident’s continuum of care, including internal services and external referrals.
  • Provide clinical consultation, guidance, and behavioral support to residential and direct service staff.
  • Conduct crisis intervention assessments and provide on-call clinical support to residential staff on a rotating basis.
  • Lead social work services across residential programs, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to best practices.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, treatment team discussions, and program development efforts.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and timely, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and court-related documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, documentation review, and Performance & Quality Improvement (PQI) activities.
  • Provide clinical support and advocacy for foster care clients during court sessions as required.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards in accordance with NASW and ACA codes of conduct and agency policies.
  • Engage in ongoing training, professional development, and continuing education as required.
