The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) is a non-profit organization established in 1976 to serve immigrants, refugees, and the broader community in Portland, Oregon. Our mission is to welcome, serve and empower refugees, immigrants and people across cultures and generations to reach their full potential. The Interim SUN Site Manager will mobilize and strategically organize community resources to provide: Academic support activities (after school hours and summer programming), Social-emotional development activities for youth, Enrichment and recreation activities for youth, adults, and families, Resource navigation to access school/community resources like food pantries and health clinics, Family involvement and community events, and Volunteer opportunities. The work of the Interim SUN Site Manager as well as activities to be implemented are performed at Russell Elementary School in the Parkrose School District. This position is the operational lead within the SUN Community School set up and will involve program budgeting, community outreach, program development and implementation, coordinate partner services, and providing direct supervision to staff and volunteers who form the Russell SUN Team. This position is responsible for executing all contracted program deliverables. The Interim SUN Site Manager will also support other programs or services integrated within their respective SUN Community School, including Early Kindergarten Transition (EKT). This position is responsible for ensuring that all program correspondence and reports for Multnomah County SUN Service System as well as other SUN associated programs are completed and submitted in a timely manner. Russell SUN CS is funded through Multnomah County, and as such, the Interim SUN Site Manager is expected to perform and fulfill work outputs that meet contractual expectations of Multnomah County related to programming requirements, data tracking and reporting.
