Interim Director of Pharmacy – Behavioral Health
About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy for an interim assignment at a behavioral health hospital in the Peoria, IL area. This is a unique opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role supporting pharmacy operations within a behavioral health setting. The role involves providing pharmacy leadership while functioning as a working DOP, approving medication orders, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. Additionally, the position will assist with Omnicell setup and inventory stocking, participate in P&T meetings and pharmacy workflow development, and support overall pharmacy implementation and operational readiness. The assignment is for 3 weeks with potential for extension, scheduled Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm, with possible on-call coverage after shifts and on weekends. No sterile compounding is required, and HCS and Omnicell training will be provided. Local candidates are preferred, but travel candidates may be considered.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing
- Inpatient hospital experience preferred
- Experience with HCS preferred
- Experience with Omnicell preferred
