About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in beautiful Western Montana. This is a great opportunity for a strong nursing leader who enjoys rural healthcare, working with a close-knit team, and making a meaningful impact. The facility offers Acute Care, Swing Bed, Intermediate Swing / LTC, and a 24/7 Emergency Department, utilizing the Athena EMR. It is a supportive rural healthcare environment. Housing may be available when facility housing is open.
Requirements
- Previous Director of Nursing or nursing leadership experience.
- Strong Critical Access Hospital experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Acute Care, Swing Bed and Long-Term Care operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication and team-building skills.
- A passion for rural healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.
- Manage Acute Care, Swing Bed, and Intermediate Swing / Long-Term Care services.
- Ensure effective operation of the 24/7 Emergency Department.
- Lead and support a close-knit healthcare team.
- Utilize Athena EMR for patient care documentation and management.
