About The Position

The Interim Branch Manager serves as the temporary Local Leader for the branch during a leadership transition. In this role, you will provide stability, continuity, and direction for the branch team while maintaining alignment with Barnhart's Mission Statement and Core Values. You will partner closely with Regional and Senior Leadership to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance are sustained throughout the interim assignment. As the Interim Local Leader, you will be entrusted to guide branch operations, support team development, and maintain Barnhart's high standards of safety, quality, and execution until permanent leadership is established. Lead with alignment to Barnhart's Mission Statement and Core Values. Barnhart has chosen Servant Leadership as the model to reflect the leadership of the "One Team."

Requirements

  • Previous leadership or management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication, computer software, and reporting skills with the ability to analyze and communicate operational and financial performance metrics.

  • Ability to quickly assess business operations, identify priorities, and effectively lead teams through periods of transition or change.
  • Mechanically inclined with a proven track record of success in rigging, lifting, fabrication, maintenance, transportation, or related operations.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, business plans, performance metrics, and operational results.
  • Project management experience within construction, industrial, heavy lift, transportation, or related industries.
  • Experience leading teams through organizational change, business transitions, or turnaround situations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership continuity during a branch transition by maintaining operational effectiveness, team engagement, customer relationships, and financial performance.
  • Motivate and support the Branch Team in achieving Barnhart's success metrics related to Financial Returns, Safety, Customer Satisfaction, and other key performance indicators.
  • Partner with Regional and Senior Leadership to identify priorities, address challenges, and implement operational improvements as needed.
  • Maintain accountability across Sales, Operations, Project Management, Dispatch, Maintenance, and Facilities functions to ensure branch performance remains strong.
  • Foster a culture of Significance, Belonging, Trust, Progress, and Recognition through coaching, communication, and leadership presence.
  • Collaborate with other branches to support regional and national project execution while ensuring local operational needs are met.
  • Champion Barnhart's commitment to safety, quality, and customer service, ensuring branch activities comply with company standards and expectations.
  • Evaluate branch performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to support long-term branch success.
