About The Position

Preferred Professional Services (PPS) is seeking an Interim Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) for their Agency. This role involves working closely with the Director of Nursing to achieve clinical program objectives, enhance care standards, and improve resident well-being. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for daily clinical operations, including compliance, care coordination, and patient satisfaction. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director assumes all responsibilities of that position. The role requires a visionary nursing leader passionate about transforming healthcare and driving excellence in long-term care.

Requirements

  • Valid state RN nursing license
  • Advanced degree or certification preferred
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and excellence in healthcare delivery
  • Visionary mindset with a focus on innovation and quality improvement
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in a nursing leadership role in a Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing operations, including staffing, training, and quality assurance
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of nurses and healthcare professionals
  • Support the development and implementation of care plans and protocols
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident care
  • Serve as operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents
  • Participate in quality assurance monitoring and ensure compliance to regulatory standards
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care
