We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Integration and Conversion Engineer with Epic certification and a strong understanding of Epic Historical Data Conversions and Bridges to lead complex healthcare integration projects. In this role, you will manage end-to- end delivery of interfaces between Epic and third-party systems via Bridge, ensuring alignment across technical, client, and internal teams. This is a full-time, computer-professional exempt position. The Engineer in this position will be responsible for delivering project(s) that span across multiple software solutions in the ELLKAY product suite to support our growing laboratory and hospital client base. This includes the full project management cycle, including management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The Engineer has the authority to run each project on a day-to-day basis and is ultimately responsible for establishing and cultivating a positive working relationship with each laboratory or hospital client from an Operations perspective.

Requirements

  • Epic Bridges Certification .
  • 2+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
  • 2+ years of experience with Epic Conversions projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7, Epic Bridges, and EHR/PM interoperability.
  • Proven experience leading technical or interface teams in client-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Epic historical data conversion projects, including planning, execution,and validation
  • Migrate interfaces and data from legacy systems to Epic (Bridges, HL7, APIs)
  • Assist with other non-conversions interface build and testing as required
  • Own project delivery for Epic integration initiatives involving the Bridges engine.
  • Coordinate with Epic-certified analysts, technical teams, client stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Facilitate Kick-off, status, and escalation calls with internal and client teams.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Oversee testing and validation phases (interface functional testing, conversions small/large/full scale testing).
  • Ensure projects meet client requirements, Epic standards, and company SLAs.
  • Maintain documentation, including specifications, mapping sheets, and change logs.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and lead the regular project status update meetings with the customer
  • Demonstrate the functional acumen to explain how solutions will address client goals
  • Participate in or oversee on-call rotations, supporting critical production incidents and ensuring rapid resolution.
