About The Position

The Interface Analyst L1 acts as the primary customer contact for HL7 and other electronic data interfaces to clients’ systems. Nearly all aspects of an interface project are coordinated or performed by the Interface Analyst. This begins by supporting the Solutions Development Team in the pre-implementation phase (as necessary), follows through into the actual interface implementation and ends with a clean hand-off to the Technical Support Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Systems/MIS, computer science, business or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in implementing and/or supporting HL7 or EDI interfaces using a 3rd party interface engine, with Rhapsody interface engine preferred
  • Understanding of application, data, and systems integration
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communication with client IT leadership and functional business teams
  • Understanding of DICOM v3 and HL7 2.x standards

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of JavaScript, Webservices, FHIR and SQL is a plus/desired
  • Familiarity with data exchange related to revenue control management processes is a plus/desired

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Solutions Development Team to gain understanding of the needs and capabilities of customers for whom we’re providing an electronic interface
  • Work directly with customers and internal resources to design, develop and implement HL7 and other electronic interfaces to client and/or internal systems using vRad’s Rhapsody interface engine
  • Create documentation for the Technical Support Team for each interface, to allow for a clean and effective post-implementation hand-off
  • Assist Sales, Marketing and Solutions Development with interface-related tasks as requested
  • Other technical implementation duties, as needed
  • Coordinate the configuration and testing of client DICOM sending devices to allow for transmission of DICOM image data to vRad
  • Assist in the administration of the Rhapsody interface engine
  • Work with Engineering on interface-related tasks; this may include collaborating to continually improve internal systems integration methods, designing custom functionality to meet customer needs and maintaining an up-to-date understanding of functionality of internal systems
  • Coordinate the build of VPN tunnels with clients to allow secure transmission of patient information from our clients’ facilities to vRad
  • Coordinate with the Radiologic Technology Team to deploy rad workstations
  • Travel may be required on an as-needed basis to client sites or to vRad’s corporate office
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed to support radiologists and other systems support issues
