Interdisciplinary - CES Recent Graduate

Defense Information Systems Agency•Huachuca City, AZ

About The Position

The Recent Graduates Program is for individuals who graduated from a qualifying educational institution or program within the previous two years. Veterans whose military service obligations prevented them from applying within that period may have up to six years after degree or certificate completion, subject to the stated eligibility conditions. Successful applicants enter a career development program that includes formal and on-the-job training to develop the knowledge and skills needed for the position. The position involves planning, managing, and scheduling complex programs or projects; critically evaluating large engineering projects, system modifications, and design alternatives; and conducting engineering analyses of complicated projects to assess technological, fiscal, and policy uncertainties. The incumbent devises innovative methods and procedures that establish new activity precedents and manages projects spanning several years and involving significant funding. The position is in the Cyber Excepted Service and is covered under DoD Manual 8140, with future Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by that manual. CES interns are not eligible for conversion to a career or career-conditional appointment, but may be eligible for noncompetitive conversion to a term or permanent CES position in a CES-designated organization. Management may select at either grade level. A selected candidate must sign a Recent Graduate Program Participant Agreement.
