About The Position

This part-time role is responsible for accurately processing financial transactions and serving as an effective source of information for members through the interactive teller machine system or by telephone. The position provides friendly, professional, confidential, and effective assistance to members and company associates, ensuring a positive experience and minimizing wait times.

Requirements

High school degree or GED required.
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential.
Experience in cash handling is strongly preferred.
Experience in customer service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately process financial transactions for checking, savings, and borrowing customers, including receiving funds, posting transactions, and paying out funds.
Verbally confirm intended transactions with customers to ensure their needs are met and minimize errors.
Identify and inform members about products and services that could be beneficial, encouraging them to enhance their relationship with the credit union.
Educate members on internet banking, eStatements, and other remote/eServices, assisting with setup.
Meet monthly referral goals.
Receive loan payments and savings deposits, address account inquiries, record payment details, and validate checks and cash.
Issue cashier checks and money orders, verify currency amounts, and cash checks according to procedures.
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve member and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices, and products.
Balance the cash drawer daily to ensure transaction accuracy and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Apply policies appropriately.
Assist other departments and branches with transactions and provide support for member requests and merchant verifications.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
