The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is seeking Inter-Agency Coordinators to join the Program Management Unit – Engineering and Support Services’ Front-End Planning – DEP Coordination team or DOT Coordination team. These individuals will play a crucial role in identifying critical issues during the scope development of Capital Infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on replacement, reconstruction, and upgrade of DEP or DOT facilities and appurtenances including but not limited to distribution and trunk water mains, storm, sanitary, combined sewers, as well as runoff outlet structures such as outfalls. The individuals will also perform review on joint DOT scope associated with DEP project limits inclusive of various street and roadway improvement initiatives, including Roadway, Plaza, SBS, Pedestrian Safety, Raised Crosswalk, and Green Streets & Vision Zero projects. The Inter-Agency Coordinators will also evaluate broader aspects such as City Initiatives for climate risks, resiliency, and sustainability, along with environmental impact, mitigation needs, acquisition, and local regulations. Lastly, the candidates will interface with various in-house personnel and consultants to prepare final assessment reports and transition projects into initiation, while also maintaining and updating project tracking systems via the agency’s database.
