About The Position

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring an Intensive Care Clinician who would like to manage their own flexible and independent schedules. We provide a supportive culture that allows for a balance of personal responsibilities and professional development while contributing to the community. This role involves conducting individual, family, and group counseling using trauma-informed and culturally responsive interventions for youth and their families. The clinician will assist caregivers in navigating systems, promote awareness of resources and access to supports, and empower caregivers with skills and strategies to support their child’s behavioral health needs. Additionally, the role includes creating care plans and interventions to support skill-based growth for clients, promoting and strengthening families' natural supports, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team with the child, parents, and other providers to ensure close collaboration and coordination of care. Ensuring client rights are respected, particularly in regard to cultural competency, and collaborating with other community-based organizations are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
  • Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, family, and group counseling using trauma informed and culturally responsive interventions for youth and their families.
  • Assist caregivers in navigating systems, to promote their awareness of resources and access to supports.

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with the child, parents, and other providers to ensure close collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Ensure that client’s rights are respected, particularly in regard to cultural competency.
  • Collaborate with other community-based organizations to provide services and care for clients.
