This role is responsible for analyzing building and energy data to identify meaningful outcomes. The Account Engineer creates consultative documentation to provide to the customer. They are responsible for leading quarterly or semiannual Technical Strategy Review meetings for each Connected Service Agreement customer. Utilizes energy conservation measures to help optimize building operations and drive sustainability projects. Fulfills Digital Services contract obligations effectively, efficiently and within safety standards. Gathers and validates preliminary information and performs facility walkthrough, construction plan review or other requirements. Collaborates with account managers and field technicians to assist in growing sales for Service Agreements, Service Quoted, Turnkey, and Controls sales. Will plan and schedule work as needed with the Project Administrator service team. Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During the site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.

Requirements

  • Strong background of HVAC systems, controls and data analytics.
  • Energy and utility knowledge preferable.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and develop relationships with clients and internal team members.
  • Motivation to succeed while taking initiative to help solve problems.
  • Organized, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work on several diverse teams.
  • Can work independently and on a team effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent from four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, building automation systems, HVAC Systems and/or temperature controls required.
  • Experience in effectively understanding and manipulation of technical information and responding to questions from fellow team members or customers.
  • Experience collecting data, analyzing and presenting data in a clear and accurate manor.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
