About The Position

A job at TSMC Arizona offers an opportunity to work at the most advanced semiconductor fab in the United States. TSMC Arizona’s first fab will operate its leading-edge semiconductor process technology (N4 process), starting production in the first half of 2025. The second fab will utilize its leading edge N3 and N2 process technology and be operational in 2028. The recently announced third fab will manufacture chips using 2nm or even more advanced process technology, with production starting by the end of the decade. Multiple positions available. Ensure factory-infrastructure systems function properly with the production-execution system (Siview) and material-control system (MCS) to support efficient manufacturing operations. Build or maintain scheduling logic that guides production decisions, supports capacity targets, and reduces operational variability.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Management, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Management, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Education or experience in at least 4 of the following: Lean Manufacturing Design for Manufacture Assembly (DMFA); Computer Aided Design (CAD); Statistical Process Control (SPC); Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA); make vs. buys analysis; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Design of Experiments (DOE); Material Planning and System (MPS) Management; Additive Manufacturing; and/or Technology Management.
  • Education or experience in at least 4 of the following: creating graphical build documentation; Concept & design of fixtures; root cause and corrective action investigation; nonconforming material disposition; Solid Works & Solid Model; Multivariate Analysis; Non-Linear Programming, and/or Machine Learning.
  • Education or experience in at least one of the following programing languages: Python, SQL, Matlab, and/or VBA.
  • Willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix Arizona facility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop planning capabilities that increase overall fabrication throughput and meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Supervise manufacturing technicians by defining daily workflows and ensuring assigned production-line tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Work with engineering teams to confirm that robotic workstations, inspection tools, and informatics systems meet operational needs.
  • Connect equipment data streams into integration applications to enable system setup, monitoring, and performance adjustment.
