About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an experienced intelligence specialist engaging in the complex technical collection and reporting of information obtained from multi-intelligence sources, through various means, related to political, eco, social, cultural, physical, geo, scientific, and/or military conditions, trends, and forces that directly or indirectly affect national security.

Requirements

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations.
  • If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement.
  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Must be registered for Selective Service
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
  • Employee must maintain current certifications

  • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
  • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
  • Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying the full range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to difficult and complex work assignments such as using multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures for intelligence capabilities and analyzing threat assessments.
  • Knowledge of advanced principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed reports on complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations.
  • Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices and multisource intelligence information systems to capture and report on data to develop intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, interpret policy, and commit resources.
  • Knowledge of advanced dissemination principles, concepts, and methods to disburse complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
  • Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint Command, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations.
  • Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities.
  • Skill in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes; and quickly assimilating disparate data, rendering knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and making decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.
  • Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a multi-source intelligence collection specialist working complex collections and operations assignments.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for intelligence collection and operations.
  • Plans, directs and oversees ISR operations.
  • Manages, oversees, directs, and integrates functions to provide ISR intelligence and situational awareness necessary to successfully plan and conduct operations in support of combatant commanders and other customers within the assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Serves as a Publicly Available Information (PAI) Manager.
  • Manage, coordinate, and synchronize the presentation of AF PAI needs and issues across the full doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) spectrum.
  • Serves as a functional authority on ISR issues.
  • Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a variety of service, national, and coalition customers.
  • Conducts complex research, evaluation, collection, dissemination and fusion of multi-source information from one or more intelligence disciplines to satisfy a broad range of customer requirements.
