About The Position

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a highly qualified Intelligence Analyst to support operations at the Navy Warfare Development Center located on Norfolk Naval Station. This on‑site role provides analytical expertise to the Maritime Operations Center – Exercise Support Team (MOC‑EST) and other partner facilities across the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. The position requires regular coordination and collaboration with Military, Government, and Contractor leadership. Leadership at HII is a mindset, not a title. Requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have experience with current U.S. intelligence systems and national reporting procedures.
  • Candidate must have experience supporting intelligence operations at the national or theater level.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Candidate must have prior military experience.
  • Candidate must have an Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to maintain clearance eligibility.
  • Candidate must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Candidate must have exceptional attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading.
  • Candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
  • Candidate must have the ability to follow direction and work independently to complete assignments.
  • Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis necessary to maintain detailed awareness of current and emerging intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) in order to ensure that the program can accurately portray friendly and adversary capabilities and can realistically stimulate intelligence and Command and Control (C2) systems.
  • Conduct analysis to identify gaps between simulation capabilities and Operational Level of War (OLW) intelligence training stimulation requirements. Maintain a comprehensive list of those requirements and work closely with Technical Leads and the Site Manager to forward appropriate requirements to NCTE Software Development for resolution.
  • Provide, for each exercise event, an intelligence dissemination matrix that outlines how all exercise intelligence products (both simulation-generated and scripted) will reach the appropriate training audience commands.
  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge of how other intelligence simulations that operate as part of the Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) federation represent the battlespace.
  • Conduct research and analysis to maintain awareness of critical emerging friendly and enemy ISR capabilities that will likely need to be simulated in future exercises.
  • Act as the primary Point of Contact (POC) to Intelligence community and designated working groups to improve intelligence related simulation in OLW exercises.
  • Assists with the planning, design, and execution of Operational-level Fleet Synthetic Training (FST-O) events for Fleet and task force staffs, to include assigned reserve personnel.
  • This position also supports on-site and distributed training events at other Norfolk VA sites, as directed.
