About The Position

Under the general direction of the Embedded Intelligence Services (EIS) department, the Intelligence Analyst III will support the analytical needs of a major client engagement. The Analyst will work directly with their Manager and the EIS team to produce analysis that addresses client-specific requirements. The Analyst will be available to travel to client locations as needed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required on a case-by-case basis. This role is based at the Crisis24 Annapolis, MD office or remote, and is a temporary remote position starting mid-September 2026 through mid-January 2027. This position focuses on geopolitical risk, global threat intelligence, and monitoring events that could disrupt client operations, including political, economic, social, and security factors, as well as natural events such as severe weather and other disasters. The role emphasizes qualitative research, investigative analysis, and intelligence reporting rather than technical, IT, cybersecurity, data analytics, or business intelligence functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in intelligence analysis, threat assessment, incident response, or a related field required.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to mentor analysts in how to research and evaluate sources.
  • Exceptional analytic writing skills and the ability to mentor other analysts in analytic writing.
  • Excellent verbal briefing skills and the ability to mentor other analysts in verbal briefing.
  • Ability to mentor other analysts in analytic skills.
  • Foreign language and travel experience required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Google Earth and Maps.
  • Candidates will be asked to pass a background check as well as writing and technology aptitude screenings as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Subject matter expertise in a location, security-related topic, or analytic process is a bonus.
  • Ability to support complex engagements a plus.
  • Experience overseeing other analysts' work is a plus.
  • Experience leading projects with several other analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Actively monitors open-source media, third-party subscription services, and other sources in real time for issues that could affect business operations and personnel.
  • Conducts open-source intelligence collection and analysis of regional trends and events to provide timely, comprehensive, customized intelligence products to decision makers.
  • Develops client-specific intelligence products including, but not limited to: Travel Threat Assessments, Location Threat Assessments (Neighborhood-, City-, or Country-level), Site Threat Assessments, Event Threat Assessments, Requests for Intelligence, Daily Incident Assessments or Intelligence Products, Threat Forecasting, Scenario Forecasting, Social Media Monitoring, Online Exposure Assessments.
  • Liaises with the client to better understand their requirements and concerns, and understand the client’s operational footprint.
  • Manages client expectations by understanding the EIS team's product offerings and limitations.
  • Establishes and maintains positive professional rapport with other analysts and SME as well as client contacts.
  • Supports manager in tracking metrics around production.
  • Assists in managing emergency incidents by using judgment and skills in accordance with commonly accepted incident management best practices and client policies and procedures.
