About The Position
An outstanding, full-time opportunity is currently available for an Intellectual Property/ Patent Agent with extensive Biotechnology experience including Biopharma, Immunotherapy and Agricultural Biotech to join a highly stable and prestigious firm in the greater Chicago area. Requirements
- 2-5 years’ demonstrated experience of intellectual property (IP) experience is a MUST
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or related field is a MUST
- Able to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office ( USPTO ) is a MUST
Nice To Haves
- Prior work experience working with biopharmaceuticals, immunotherapy, agricultural biotech or a similar field is HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Previous experience working with international clients is a PLUS
Responsibilities
- Work with scientist and clients to capture biotech innovations
- review and analyze invention disclosures
- Analyze patent and scientific documents to assist with patent prosecution/ litigation
- Occasionally provide technical support relating to patent litigation
- Work with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO); writing and amending claims/ patents
- Client focused ; this position will assume client responsibilities for both domestic and international partners
