About The Position

The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Services Principal Specialist to support hardware and software integration activities for the family of Patriot programs, including both development and fielded Patriot equipment within the Andover-based Patriot Labs. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge missile defense technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience working within a test facility, depot, field, and/or engineering lab.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government–issued security clearance
  • Demonstrated proficiency with mechanical tools (e.g., power tools, hand tools)
  • Experience troubleshooting issues within Windows and Linux systems

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Patriot Technical Manuals and Patriot Maintenance Control System diagnostic software
  • Experience identifying and troubleshooting hardware issues, with clear documentation of all actions and steps taken; excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical operations and maintenance support for Patriot System hardware and software within a laboratory environment.
  • Assist lab users in preparing for and conducting test events.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and system issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate across functions to support the successful technical execution of complex integration and test events.
  • Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems in both field test and hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments, evaluating system functionality and overall impact.
  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, responsiveness, and strong problem-solving skills to accommodate user requests while balancing daily PTFA-required activities.
