About The Position

The Integration Technician II–III is responsible for the hands-on integration of large-format laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) printers within the Machine Development Operations department. Working from completed sub-assemblies produced by the Sub-Assembly work center and the printer integration hardware BOM, this role brings together mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, inert-gas, motion, powder-handling, and other system-level hardware to build complete printer platforms. The technician executes printer integration activities primarily through MES work order instructions, supported by engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, controlled documents, and applicable change-management systems. The role performs precise installation, alignment, fastening, routing, connection, verification, troubleshooting, and rework while maintaining configuration control, traceability, workmanship, and build quality. As part of the Long Beach factory launch and ramp, the Integration Technician works with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Sub-Assembly, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve integration challenges and improve the build process. The role provides hands-on feedback that supports repeatable work instructions, standard work, tooling, fixtures, and integration practices. This position may be filled at the Technician II or Technician III level based on demonstrated knowledge, experience, technical capability, independence, complexity of work, and technical leadership.
