About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including an Integration System Engineer (Associate or Experienced Level) to support the Technology and Innovation Organization in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will join a diverse multi-disciplined team of engineers, technicians, skilled scientists and bold innovators. Our team is responsible for leading the development of integrated capability roadmaps and accelerating technology insertion across a broad portfolio of both digital tools and hard technologies. Additionally, we guide investment recommendations that hasten growth and productivity for BGS. Our group engages with a wide variety of commercial and military programs, while also shaping new program and sustainment design concepts to maximize benefit to the services life cycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 1 + years’ experience in an engineering role
  • 1+ years’ experience with system/unit requirements definition, implementation, validation, and verification
  • 1+ years’ experience managing engineering environments for product development teams (Hardware or firmware product development
  • 1 + years’ experience with Python or relevant scripting language development (languages for automations, ect.)
  • Successful Candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict Of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Experience formulating business cases (capturing cost savings or revenue growth opportunities for a project or program)
  • Experience with engineering product development is a bonus (consideration of design and eventual implementation in a manufacturing or operational environment)
  • Cursory knowledge of Boeing Global Services’ portfolio, either through exposure or direct work experience, is also a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Work with business partners to establish multi-year technology roadmaps and specific project roll-out plans
  • Assist in the development, review, analysis, and maintenance of cost and benefit cases (business cases) for technology projects considered for near- or long-term implementation
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners across engineering, manufacturing, product support, strategy, IT, and other functions
  • Interface across the enterprise to leverage best practices and cross-cutting technologies
  • Develop and leverage strategic relationships with global partners and external organizations, including universities, government agencies, and strategic suppliers; align business unit (BU) support and manage BU customer satisfaction
  • Oversee research of technologies for potential application to company business needs and support road mapping activities for future capability planning
  • Develop and analyze system requirements through customer interaction
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS and Cameo, along with mathematical modeling and simulation, to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies, including integration with interfacing engineering disciplines’ model-based design toolsets
  • Support the execution of all aspects of systems engineering throughout the full program lifecycle (concept definition, design, test, and production) using MBSE methods
  • Support other programs or perform other duties as needed
