About The Position

Join the University's ICT Data and Integration Services team as an experienced Integration Developer - ETL in this 12-month fixed-term opportunity. The Integration Developer - ETL works with the Senior Manager - Integration Services, Data and Integration Team members, solution architects, and various business stakeholders to develop and implement integration solutions to solve business challenges. The role designs, develops, automates, and supports complex applications to extract, transform, and load data. It will translate data access, transformation, and movement requirements into functional requirements and mapping designs. The role is responsible for the design of the logical data model and implements the physical database structure and constructs and ensures data quality. It will create and enhance data integrations enabling seamless delivery of data and is responsible for collecting, parsing, managing, and analysing large sets of data ensuring it adheres to the Governance Process, Integration Standards, and best practice. The role is required to understand and review technical requirements, design ETL process flow and walkthroughs and perform data profiling of required source systems.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or in a relevant field or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and demonstrated experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver practical, high-quality solutions.
  • Strong experience across the data integration development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, ETL development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
  • Sound knowledge of enterprise data integration and system interfaces, with experience designing and implementing reliable, scalable integration solutions.
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including developing and optimising complex queries, stored procedures and database performance.
  • Experience designing and developing relational database solutions, with a strong understanding of database design principles, data modelling and best practices.
  • Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimise enterprise ETL/ELT and data integration solutions that deliver secure, scalable and high-quality data pipelines
  • Design, develop and deliver high-quality, scalable ETL and data integration solutions using Informatica, supporting the ingestion, transformation and management of large, complex datasets.
  • Build and deploy robust ETL processes across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring reliable, secure and efficient data integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with Integration Designers, developers and business stakeholders to implement data strategies, develop data flows and deliver solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Drive quality and best practice by applying integration standards, governance, DevOps principles and participating in code reviews to deliver secure, maintainable and reusable solutions.
  • Design, build and test complex interfaces and data pipelines spanning multiple enterprise applications, ensuring data integrity, performance and compliance.
  • Support and continuously improve enterprise integration services by resolving production issues, implementing enhancements, maintaining technical documentation and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
