About The Position

Perform configuration, test and inspection of basic end-user microcomputer systems, mobile devices, printers, servers, storage devices, networking equipment, POS, MPOS and related IT products. Limited Quality Assurance (QA) tasks may be performed at this level.

Requirements

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience preferable

  • Strong familiarity with standard IT equipment including, pc's, laptops, print devices, servers, storage, mobile and networking devices.
  • Strong familiarity with standard image deployment tools and image deployment methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and oral
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Strong MS Office knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour work shift
  • Effectively use written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in an IT field of study a plus
  • CompTIA A+ certification a plus
  • Additional certifications in these areas are a plus, namely Cisco
  • Previous Point-of-Sale (POS) experience would be beneficial
  • Project coordination and Project Management skills would be beneficial
  • Oracle EBS knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of orders
  • Verify part numbers and quantity of parts per order
  • Must be able to follow work instructions and order remarks
  • Responsible for creation of accurate quality documents for each configured device
  • Ensure proper handling of ESD sensitive products
  • Create labels for all assigned work (order #, part #, etc.)
  • Install hardware, software, perform BIOS updates, and asset tagging of basic end-user microcomputer systems, mobile devices, printers, servers, storage devices, POS, MPOS and other technologies
  • Apply, upgrade, and downgrade IOS on networking equipment including switches, routers, AP’s, WAAS devices and various other wireless networking devices. Ability to perform basic command line functions on these devices.
  • Responsible for basic troubleshooting of problem devices
  • Perform maintenance and basic up-keep of the Integration area
  • Keep abreast of new products through independent training and study
  • Perform specific departmental tasks/duties as assigned
  • Assist other employees and departments when work is current
  • Must be able to work independently with job tasks and be self-motivated
