About The Position

OLI, a leader in software development for complex chemical phenomena, is seeking an Integration Architect. This role involves collaborating with OLI experts to design and deliver solutions for operations and maintenance focused on asset performance and protective monitoring. Key responsibilities include creating API and Cloud App solutions, exploring new applications for OLI tools, managing large datasets, and problem-solving with peers. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry, at least 4 years of relevant experience, Python programming knowledge, and familiarity with Digital Transformation (DX) initiatives. Prior experience in industrial environments is a significant advantage. This position reports to a manager and requires strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Python programming
  • Familiarity with DX initiatives
  • Deep understanding of industrial/process data: where it lives, what it looks like, why it's messy
  • Ability to read and interpret simulation inputs/outputs
  • Pattern recognition across customer use cases: can write a clear spec
  • Enough API literacy to run a call, read a response, and say "this is right" or "this is wrong"
  • Strong documentation and communication skills: their output IS the spec
  • Fluent OLI API is entirely JSON in/out
  • Python Intermediate Prototyping, validation, notebook-level
  • SQL Solid Source data lives in databases

  • Vet solution requests and determine solution value for operations and maintenance centered on asset performance.
  • Determine user requirements and propose initial designs for DX/operations type solutions.
  • Design and deliver solutions with the AE team for simulation builds.
  • Work with company experts (AE/TPM/Support) to provide general engineering support to DX missions.
  • Create API and Cloud App solutions around asset performance, chemistry challenges, scaling, and corrosion.
  • Explore new ways to use the OLI tools to further customer DX initiatives including APIs, IoT, AI, ML, etc.
  • Collaborate with the AE team for simulation builds.
  • Provide broad support for simulation solutions provided by the AE team with automation by DX.
  • Stay educated on current technologies and upcoming trends involving industrial automation and DX.
