About the role: Reports to the Associate Director of US Technology for Markets The Integration and Automation Developer – Markets Technology (US) is a hands-on delivery role responsible for building, testing, and supporting integrations and workflow automations that enable large US client onboarding and strategic platform initiatives. The role will focus on connecting Investran into the wider Aztec ecosystem and into complex client estates, using tools and platforms such as MuleSoft, Alteryx, Databricks, Power Platform, and related integration approaches including APIs, SFTP, structured data feeds, and automation routines. This role is a key part of Aztec’s ability to deliver scalable onboarding, two-way client integrations, controlled data exchanges, and reduced manual effort across strategic programmes. Requirements

  • Hands-on development experience with MuleSoft, Alteryx, Databricks, and/or Power Platform.
  • Understanding of API-based integrations, file-based interfaces, automation design, and data transformation.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging capability.
  • Ability to work across technical and operational teams in a controlled delivery environment.
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in integration, automation, or technical development roles.
  • Experience in organisations that use Investran and operate in private markets is essential.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • You will need to be quick to learn new systems and great with people, as close working relationships between our colleagues and clients is at the heart of what we do.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to private markets systems and accounting platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native integration.
  • Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth, JWT, TLS) and data governance.
  • Excellent communication: communicates with clarity and confidence at all levels; adapts style and content to the needs of the audience.
  • Exposure to agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, etc.).
  • Understanding of delivery metrics, governance frameworks, and performance management.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support integrations between Investran and internal/external systems using MuleSoft, APIs, flat files, and scheduled data feeds.
  • Develop automation routines using Alteryx, Power Platform, and other approved tools to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual intervention.
  • Support data movement and transformation into/from Databricks, client data platforms, and downstream reporting tools.
  • Contribute to the full development lifecycle from design through Dev, SIT, UAT, and Production deployment.
  • Support interface testing, defect resolution, deployment preparation, and controlled release of integrations and automations.
  • Maintain technical documentation, mappings, interface specifications, and support runbooks.
  • Monitor production integrations and automation jobs, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Support structured exception handling, reconciliation checks, and evidence retention in line with SOC 1 / ISAE and internal controls.
  • Ensure changes are implemented through Aztec’s approved change governance and CAB processes.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Application Specialists, Solution Architecture, Reporting & Data teams, and platform owners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Support large client onboarding and migration projects with technical build and automation capability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of integration patterns, reusable assets, and automation standards.
