About The Position
Teledyne Scientific Company (TSC), the central Research Lab of Teledyne Technologies, is a cutting-edge R&D organization with over 60 years of legacy in new technology development and transition. The company boasts world-class laboratories and facilities, and a highly dynamic, multi-disciplinary work environment. TSC has an opening for a part-time (24 hours a week) summer intern position in the Optics group within the Integrated Solutions and Systems Division. This internship is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2026, and conclude on September 15, 2026. The role involves assisting with electronics and firmware development for the integration of electro-optic devices, which may include positioning components (actuators and sensors), optical sources, modulators, detectors, and cameras. The intern will also support design documentation, fabrication, data collection, and laboratory testing.
Requirements
- Basic electronics skills
- Strong software skills
- Experience with Linux, Unix, Windows
- Understanding hardware and user interface needs for integrated systems
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Good communication skills and inquisitive mind
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities
- Assist with electronics and firmware development for integration of electro-optic devices
