About The Position

The Integrated Services Teacher plays a vital role in delivering high-quality early childhood education within the ACE program while supporting broader program operations across sites. This position blends classroom instruction, social-emotional support, and family engagement to ensure continuity of care and strong developmental outcomes for children. Working collaboratively with program leadership and support staff, the Integrated Services Teacher helps implement curriculum, address individualized learning needs, and promote school readiness aligned with Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in early childhood education
  • Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and interventions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated patience, creativity, and passion for working with children
  • Knowledge of child development principles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards

Nice To Haves

  • Head Start experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction within the ACE classroom
  • Implement curriculum aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that supports social-emotional development
  • Use individualized strategies to support diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • Partner with the Family & Student Support Specialist to deliver targeted interventions
  • Support children in developing emotional regulation, positive behaviors, and peer relationships
  • Assist in implementing strategies that foster social-emotional growth across program sites
  • Serve as a flexible teacher across multiple sites to maintain ratios and continuity
  • Provide classroom support, including activity facilitation and classroom management
  • Adapt quickly to different environments while maintaining consistent quality standards
  • Conduct home visits in collaboration with program leadership
  • Build strong partnerships with families to support children’s development and school readiness
  • Promote continuity between home and school environments
  • Assist in developing and implementing curriculum for the ACE program
  • Collaborate with leadership to align instruction with program goals and assessment data
  • Contribute to individualized learning plans and classroom strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of observations, assessments, and family interactions
  • Support data entry and reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Head Start standards and EEC regulations
  • Participate in ongoing training related to curriculum and social-emotional learning
  • Collaborate with education staff, family services, and specialists
  • Support a team-based approach to delivering comprehensive services
