About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Integrated Project Team Lead to support the Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) organization in executing Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) tasks for production engine programs. The MSEN Engineering organization is responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a similar field, and 3 years of engineering experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, or an Advanced engineering degree, or an MBA.
  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, and jet engines in particular.
  • Previous gas turbine cases, fan and/or compressor experience.
  • Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an Integrated Product Team to achieve defined technical milestones by coordinating tasks, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment with program requirements.
  • Plan and manage budgets for hardware and engineering activities, ensuring cost compliance and efficient resource utilization.
  • Prepare and deliver status updates and technical briefings to ESTO leadership and senior Pratt & Whitney management, and improve visibility and decision‑making.
  • Drive root‑cause investigations on fielded hardware by partnering with IPT members and technical authorities, resulting in actionable product improvement recommendations.
  • Evaluate improvement opportunities and execute Class II engineering changes to enhance product reliability and performance.
  • Coordinate the evaluation and disposition of quality non‑conformances and supplier RFIs, perform risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans while mentoring junior employees.
