About The Position

The Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high reliability hardware and electrical systems. This role requires strong technical leadership, cross functional coordination, and full life-cycle engineering expertise. The selected candidate will work onsite in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Experience with full scope engineering development
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 for communication and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated engineering leadership with a track record of mentoring team members and driving strong technical outcomes.
  • Strong systems engineering background—comfortable owning requirements, leading trade studies, defining interfaces, and guiding verification efforts.
  • Experience managing full product lifecycles for complex systems that blend electrical, mechanical, and software elements.
  • Skilled in project scheduling and familiar with tools like MS Project.
  • Background in spacecraft systems design, especially electrical power systems and space environment considerations.
  • Experience developing and executing acceptance and qualification tests for spaceflight hardware.
  • Familiar with modern PCB design workflows (schematics, layout, testing, manufacturing).
  • Working knowledge of key electrical engineering domains such as power electronics, high speed digital design, and RF circuits.
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems development, with emphasis on Linux-based platforms, device drivers, and hardware/software integration.
  • Familiar with major engineering tools including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Altium, Cadence, HFSS, MATLAB, and configuration management systems.
  • Ability to travel <10%
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary IPT focused on subsystem and component development, verification, and production activities.
  • Oversee technical progress, risk, schedule, and cost to ensure successful execution.
  • Communicate program status to Engineering Management and Program Management, including updates on technical development, program health, risk management, schedule performance, and cost reporting.
  • Provide technical support for business development efforts, including white papers, RFIs, RFPs, and customer-facing technical presentations.
  • Support engineering teams with procurement of equipment, materials, and services; interface with vendors and customers to ensure technical and schedule alignment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and team performance.
