About The Position

Raytheon's Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to serve as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for a development program. This role focuses on program execution, providing leadership for robust engineering development practices. The IPTL will collaborate with engineering leadership to ensure program execution aligns with contractual requirements and technical subsystem requirements are met. Key responsibilities include maintaining and strengthening customer and industry partner relationships, driving execution efficiency, focusing on milestones, and managing team priorities in a complex environment. This role requires proactive and effective collaboration and communication across the program and with customer stakeholders. The position is located onsite in Goleta, CA.

Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience in Program Management and/or IPT execution within the Defense Industry.
Experience leading cross-functional teams within the Defense Industry that includes two or more disciplines in Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, and/or administrative functions.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), or Risk and Opportunity Management.
Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with leading development and maintenance activities across multiple program sites.
Experience with Supplier Management.
Experience with leading Systems, Hardware or Software Engineering Teams.
Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management tools, preferably Jira
Excellent presentation and proposal skills.
Experience in the Electronic Warfare domain.

Responsibilities

Meet contractual commitments including financial, technical, and schedule performance of assigned program(s) within contractual boundaries and company expectations.
Report business metrics to both the program and functional leadership including Estimates At Complete (EAC).
Provide the technical execution leadership required to design, develop, integrate & test, verify, qualify and deliver a system that complies with performance requirements.
Communicate both to the Raytheon leadership and the customer community to provide program status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed.
As a member of the Program Leadership Team, contribute to developing and aligning on common program vision and execution strategies.
Actively work to identify, manage, and mitigate risks or capture opportunities.
Provide mentoring and guidance to team members.
Travel as necessary to support the Program (approx. 10%).
