About The Position

The Integrated Mental Health Systems (IMHS) Director will execute key administrative functions related to crisis intervention, on-call availability for the IMHS hotline, and maintaining the case management record system. This role ensures consent for Outreach documentation is obtained and coordinates clinical staff coverage for mission support and redeployment operations. The Director will oversee the coordination of behavioral health care efforts by clinical and non-clinical case managers to ensure a holistic approach to client issues. Responsibilities include rolling up case management data reports, evaluating behavioral health trends and program services for potential development, and submitting quarterly reports on program usage and satisfaction metrics. The Director will also coordinate IMHS coverage at various events such as Yellow Ribbon, deployment/redeployment, Commander and 1SG Course, Family Programs, Victim Advocate, Causality, Unit Risk Inventories, and Military Funeral Honors training. This position provides technical guidance on case management and mental health protocols, coordinates with the Behavioral Health Operations Program (BHOP) for joint events, and represents IMHS at external meetings with organizations like the Governor's Working Group, North Carolina Institute of Medicine, SAMHSA, Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, VA(MC), RTI International, and the Center for Applied Public Health Research. The Director will also attend NCNG Battle Rhythm events and G1/G1-SSS Meetings to gather feedback and ensure adequate IMHS coverage.

Requirements

Master's degree in social work or counseling
Valid NC state license as a LCSW, LMHC or LMFT at the independent provider level.
10 years of full‐time post‐licensure behavior health experience
5 years within a military or public safety setting preferred.
Supervisory or program development/implementation experience of a program directly related to a mental health services or mental health program.
Experience planning, directing, or organizing a program across multiple sites.
Knowledge of federal and state legal requirements pertaining to mental health counseling and patient confidentiality.
Knowledge of HIPAA and Privacy Acts in civilian and military settings as well as the professional ethics surrounding the mental health career field.
Strong organizational & communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

LMHC is considered an LPC equivalent.
One year experience working with a Computerized Medical database system preferred.
One year experience working on a virtual team preferred.
Current certification or licensure in evidence based treatment for psychological trauma.

Responsibilities

Execute key administrative functions, including optimization of crisis intervention and on-call availability for the IMHS hotline.
Ensure the case management record system is maintained as current.
Ensure consent for Outreach documentation has been received for all clients receiving support.
Ensure coverage and scheduling of clinical staff based on mission support as requested by the COR for staff deployment to support redeployment operations.
Ensure clinical and non-clinical case managers are coordinating behavioral health care efforts across client's varying range of issues, to ensure a holistic approach is taken relative to each client.
Roll up case management data reports and submit a written report to the COR annually.
Evaluate behavioral health trends and program services and submit a written report to the COR annually for potential program development/initiatives.
Forward rates of program usage and satisfaction metrics reports run by team leads to the COR on a quarterly basis.
Coordinate support to ensure proper IMHS coverage is achieved at various events (e.g., Yellow Ribbon, deployment/redeployment, Commander and 1SG Course, Family Programs, Victim Advocate, Causality, Unit Risk Inventories, Military Funeral Honors training).
Provide IMHS technical guidance/direction concerning proper case management and mental health protocols to clinical and non-clinical case managers.
Coordinate with Behavioral Health Operations Program (BHOP) concerning Joint BHOP/ IMHS events.
Provide IMHS expertise at external NCNG meetings (e.g., Governor's Working Group, North Carolina Institute of Medicine Working Group, SAMHSA group works, Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, VA(MC) Mental Health Summits, RTI International, Center for Applied Public Health Research).
Provide IMHS expertise at NCNG Battle Rhythm events (e.g., Case Management Group, Commander's Ready and Resilience Council, NCNG Stand Up Workgroups).
Attend G1 and G1-SSS Meetings to receive IMHS program feedback and ensure sufficient IMHS coverage is attained at upcoming events.
