About The Position

This internship role is within the Integrated Controls Systems (ICS) capability group, which is part of Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety. The ICS group comprises diverse engineering disciplines including Software (traditional and model-based), Systems, Electronics, Electrical Power, Mechanical, and System Security. The team collaborates on design, integration, testing, service support, and supply chain management to meet customer needs. The intern will work on a traditional or model-based software project, supporting one of the engineering development teams under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. This internship offers hands-on experience across the product development lifecycle, including capturing and validating customer requirements, implementing programming principles for automation scripts, maintaining code quality, and validating features through verification testing.

Requirements

• Working towards an undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, computer science.
• Eager to collaborate across cross-functional teams, ask insightful questions, and break down problem statements into clear, actionable solutions.
• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to manage tasks from concept to completion.
• Able to convey information clearly through strong written and verbal skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders from individual contributors to leadership.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• U.S. Citizen
