This position will report to the Assistant Director of Integrated Planning and will lead the end‑to‑end Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for the Retail Business Unit, ensuring alignment across demand, supply, finance, category, and customer development.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (supply chain discipline or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of buying experience within the CPG industry; perishable experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and production planning methods with an understanding of financial and operational impacts.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to make reasoned decisions based on available information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage and maintain an efficient team.
  • Ability to work independently within a fast‑paced environment and with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Oracle Demand Planning, SAP/APO, JDA, Demand Solutions, or other supply chain planning software.
  • Experience with inventory systems.

Responsibilities

  • Has responsibility for leading and integrating the full Retail IBP cycle, ensuring alignment across demand, supply, finance, category, and customer development. Adapts enterprise IBP standards to Retail‑specific dynamics including promotional cadence, customer programs, and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy, service performance, and financial predictability.
  • Establishes and governs the Retail IBP calendar, ensuring disciplined execution of Demand Reviews, Supply Reviews, Portfolio Reviews, and Executive/Pre‑Executive cycles. Maintains governance structures, escalation paths, and decision rights that enable Retail leadership to make timely trade‑offs related to customer commitments, capacity constraints, and financial targets.
  • Builds and facilitates scenario planning for promotional lifts, customer resets, competitive shifts, commodity volatility, and supply disruptions. Quantifies risks and opportunities and recommends mitigation strategies. Ensures contingency plans are embedded in monthly and long‑range planning horizons.
  • Translates Retail strategic goals—including distribution expansion, innovation launches, category growth initiatives, and merchandising strategies—into integrated operational and financial plans with measurable KPIs, ownership, and cross‑functional alignment. Ensures Retail KPIs such as forecast accuracy, case fill, inventory health, service levels, and financial results are embedded within IBP governance.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of rough‑cut finished‑goods capacity plans that meet or exceed business needs based on forecasts, promotional volumes, and current capacity. Proactively identifies issues that may impact supply and manages short‑ and long‑term planning analysis for the IBP Supply Review process.
  • Drives master scheduling for upstream and downstream production analysis. Provides strategic demand volumes for an 18‑month rolling forecast to support category expansion and capacity analysis. Reviews long‑range risks and opportunities through the IBP process to determine supportability and required actions. Leads long‑range scenario planning with data analytics that enable a bias for action.
  • Has responsibility for demand planning for new category portfolio expansions. Incorporates business intelligence and forecast information from sales, marketing, retailer replenishment, and syndicated data sources into operational plans and provides guidance on portfolio performance and business health through the monthly IBP Demand Review.
  • Collaborates with RAW, Planning, and Manufacturing Alliance teams to reconcile the rolling 18‑month demand volumes with procurement needs.
  • Works in partnership with Manufacturing Alliances, Innovation, and R&D for all new product initiatives during the pre‑launch phase, including forecast evaluation, capacity analysis, master data setup, and providing new launch overviews for the IBP PMR pillar.
  • Provides direct supervision to the Associate Supply Planning Analyst, driving weekly processes and evaluating system tools with recommendations to fix, improve, or replace non‑functioning mechanisms.
  • Performs other planning tasks as needed, including backing up the Demand Planner, Supply Planning Supervisor, and Senior Manager of Integrated Planning for IBP Demand and Supply Review meetings.
