About The Position
Practice behavioral health in a collaborative primary care setting—while enjoying the lifestyle of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist / Integrated Behavioral Health Therapist to join our integrated primary care and behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide mental health counseling, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention for patients ages 5 and older. This position is eligible for Federal and State Loan Repayment Programs (NHSC).
Requirements
- Licensed in Virginia as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD
- Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
- Eligible for FTCA privileging
- Current BLS certification
- Applicants must not be sanctioned under Medicaid or Medicare.

- Experience providing mental health counseling or substance use treatment
- Experience in integrated behavioral health or primary care settings
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health counseling and behavioral health therapy
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and treatment planning
- Provide ongoing therapy for mental health and substance use concerns
- Deliver crisis intervention when needed
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams in an integrated care model
