About The Position

This position will be located at our Adult Outpatient Services in Dothan, Al. The Intake Therapist will provide therapeutic services to clients of the system's substance abuse and mental illness units, employing various clinical and social treatment skills and approaches. Responsibilities include conducting clinical intakes, providing psychotherapy, documentation, coordination with agency services, and responding to emergency situations. Travel may be required within the five-county catchment area and/or statewide as needed.

Requirements

• Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work or related field
• Completion of a relevant clinical practicum
• Must be willing to obtain AADA certification within 2 years of hire
• good background check and MVR and a pre-employment drug screen
• Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age)

Nice To Haves

• Two years post masters experience preferred
• Licensure as an LCSW or LPC in the state of Alabama is preferred but not required
