About The Position

The Intake Support Associate I will be responsible for supporting the assessment and intake processes for all Mission Programs in Emergency and Recovery models by providing high quality intake coordination, spiritual leadership and management for individuals seeking a recovery program or a pathway out of homelessness. Work with a team of staff to help create a safe, healing environment for faith-based emergency programs that assist guests on their journey to healthy relationships and independent living.

Requirements

  • Acknowledge and sign the Mission's Statement of Faith
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a social services environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License and be able to meet the standards of the Mission driver criteria required, including but not limited to: Clean driving record, Have a License for at least one year, No current suspensions or revocations, At least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the intake process including inquiry calls, phone screens, scheduling and coordination and intake to appropriate program.
  • Assess applicant ability to live independently and evaluate special needs in areas such as health care, mental health, and addiction.
  • Make admission decisions in collaboration with program management.
  • Identify inefficient/ineffective processes and implement improvements.
  • Meet weekly with supervisor to discuss status of guest in intake process and any pertinent program information.
  • Record, report, and maintain required pre-intake screening tools and statistical information into Clarity.
  • Maintain an atmosphere in all intake spaces including quarantine that will be most conducive to safety, dignity, and cleanliness.
  • Directly coordinate with mission programs including Outreach/S & R, Referral and Intake, Men and Women’s Shelter and Recovery programs, Aftercare, and outside agencies who serve our homeless neighbors seeking services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with providers to offer needed services to guests.
  • Perform drug screening when appropriate for program upon intake.
  • Collaborate with other staff to forge and model transparent and supportive Christian relationships, which will serve as a leadership example.
  • Collaborate with volunteers as needed to serve our guests.
  • Work with Mission Managers to make decisions to enter/exit program guests.
  • Participate in organizational meetings, training, and initiatives as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned to support the Mission’s success.
