About The Position
The Intake Specialist is the liaison between the Admissions Department and Program Staff.
Requirements
- Associate degree or high school diploma and two (2) years of customer service experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two years’ experience in Admission and/or behavioral health preferred.
- Two years residential treatment or inpatient experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act independently to recognize, acknowledge, and ensure clients engagement upon arrival.
- Establish rapport with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Facilitate all intake activities.
- Coordinate face-to-face assessments.
- Collect and ensure all admissions related paperwork is accurately completed.
- Generate EHR chart for all new admits.
- Conduct tours.
- Responsible for representing and introducing professionals, clients, and families to Newport Healthcare.
- Acclimate client into environment.
- Assist Admissions Department with over-the-phone assessments as needed.
