Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, some college (secretarial) is preferred.
  • Strong medical terminology is required.
  • At least one year previous healthcare office or registration function preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director or Admissions Director/Manager, supports the outpatient therapy centers by accepting all referrals for treatment, by verifying insurance benefits, and by facilitating authorization for treatment, and by scheduling the initial visit for evaluation.
  • May relieve intake specialists in the clinics, when requested.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
