RN Wound Care Specialist - FT Days | San Antonio Med Center LTACH
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Specialist for day shifts at their San Antonio Med Center LTACH. This role involves coordinating wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan, participating in patient and family teaching, and collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. The position also involves performing other related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements
- Documents or credentials of graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working.
- Current CPR certification and maintains same.
- Two (2) years direct patient care experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred.
- Prefer experience in emergency care, critical care or ET nursing.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
