About The Position

Aegis Healthcare is seeking an experienced Intake Patient Care Coordinator or an individual with medical office experience to join their Aegis Home Health and Hospice team. This role is crucial for ensuring hospice and home health patients receive excellent care from the initial contact. The Intake Patient Care Coordinator will be the first point of contact for referral sources, responsible for managing phone calls, collecting information, completing authorizations, and verifying insurance. Although this position is non-patient-facing, the work is essential for the smooth operations and patient experience at Aegis Healthcare. The role requires upholding privacy standards and contributing to a trusting and compassionate environment. Requirements

1-2 years medical office experience preferred
Ability to relate well to staff and other professionals
Service oriented mindset & Compassionate and caring attitude.
Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
Valid Driver's License with proof of current insurance & reliable transportation.
Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
Current CPR Certification & Proof of Negative TB Test
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
