About The Position

The Intake and Outreach Coordinator plays a critical, front-facing role in connecting individuals to opportunity at CFUF. This position leads applicant engagement, intake, and community outreach efforts, ensuring prospective members are informed, supported, and successfully enrolled into CFUF programs. Serving as both a relationship-builder and systems navigator, the Coordinator works to remove barriers to participation, maintain consistent engagement with applicants and alumni, and strengthen CFUF’s presence across the community. This role blends outreach, case coordination, data management, and cross-team collaboration to drive member enrollment and retention.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in community engagement, workforce development, or a related field will be considered
2+ years of experience in outreach, intake coordination, case management, or community-based engagement
Experience working with underserved or historically marginalized populations strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience with data entry and case management systems (e.g., ETO, Apricot, or similar platforms) preferred
Ability and willingness to travel locally for outreach and community engagement activities
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
Passion for community engagement and supporting individuals in overcoming barriers to success
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Detail-oriented with strong data management and documentation skills
Comfortable engaging diverse audiences through both in-person and virtual platforms
Resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented in addressing challenges
High level of professionalism, accountability, and commitment to CFUF’s mission
Experience using social media as a tool for outreach and engagement preferred

Responsibilities

Engage, recruit, and inform prospective applicants about CFUF programs through outreach and direct engagement
Conduct timely intake assessments (within 24 hours of initial contact) and ensure accurate documentation in CFUF systems
Maintain consistent follow-up with applicants to confirm interest, address barriers, and support enrollment
Plan and execute outreach activities, including street outreach, community events, and presentations (including occasional evenings or weekends)
Represent CFUF at resource fairs, partner events, and community engagements while building strong referral pipelines
Track outreach efforts, including locations covered, engagement metrics, and new leads generated
Recruit and coordinate alumni participation in outreach efforts, including tracking and stipend processing
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of applicant information, outreach activities, and case notes
Compile weekly outreach and engagement reports to support performance tracking and grant reporting
Support marketing efforts through social media engagement and virtual presentations using platforms such as Zoom and PowerPoint
Collaborate with program teams to align recruitment strategies and improve member engagement and retention
Assist in planning and executing outreach events, including logistics, setup, and follow-up
Support reengagement strategies for alumni participation in CFUF programs and services
Ensure outreach materials, supplies, and resources are prepared and available for all activities
Maintain outreach equipment (including the outreach van) in alignment with safety and cleanliness standards
Represent CFUF professionally with members, partners, funders, and community stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned to support outreach, engagement, and organizational goals
