This specific role is for a Per Diem Intake Nurse.

Requirements

• Ability to Communicate in English
• BLS required
• Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred Florida RN License
• Prefer 1 year of Behavioral Health RN
• Prefer 1 year of Supervisory RN responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Conducts Medical screens for all patients who are present for intake.
• Review of labs and medical histories of patients in medical facilities to determine medical appropriateness for admission
• Complete risk assessment for AWOL, danger to others, sexual acting out behavior, and vulnerability.
• Assess patients for self-harm/suicide risk and determine the level of care.
• Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care.
• Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups.
• Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly.
• Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team.
