West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and included a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and answer your questions about treatment options and insurance coverage. Visit us online at: https://westoakshospital.com/ West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented full-time Intake Nurse Supervisor to supervise Intake staff in the coordination of intake and admission protocol that results in the assessment and admission of patients which directly impacts on maintenance of patient census levels in accordance with administrative goals. Responsible for maintenance of hospital computer systems daily census, ensuring that all patients are correctly registered in the computer at the appropriate level of care they are being treated at. Responsible for the Referral Information System which directly impacts Marketing and Corporate statistical Reports planning process.

Requirements

  • Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing either through ADN, Diploma or BSN Program.
  • Licensure and certification Required: Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure. CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
  • Experience Required: Five years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience to include supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an information system that ensures up to date insurance and utilization review
  • Performs initial nursing screening and the appropriate QMHP Assessments
  • Synthesizes data collected during the comprehensive assessment
  • Intervene appropriately with patients experiencing a behavioral crisis situation
  • Assist Director with completion of performance monitors
